I was born in Zimbabwe and grew up on a commercial farm in Marondera in the Eastern part of the country near the Mozambique border. A high achiever, I excelled in sports in both the first team hockey and rugby teams and was selected to play Polocrosse for the Zimbabwe national team. After graduating from Watershed Agricultural College in Marondera, I managed a large scale commercial potato farm at age seventeen. By eighteen I had started my own security company, Tazmin Security South Africa which became the third largest in Kwa Zulu Natal province. After selling Tazmin I joined the British army serving in Germany as part of a specialist team. My tours included Bosnia and Kosovo and I was instrumental in rescuing children harmed by the conflict.
After leaving the Army I worked for Rockbourne environmental as their Senior Projects Manager building twelve large scale plants all over the UK and Ireland. These included water treatment, anaerobic digestion, biogas and energy plants. My most notable UK projects were building three water treatment plants and managing the initial GBP 100 million design and building of infrastructure for Heathrow Terminal 5 in London.
As a result I was headhunted to work for Armadillo Industries UK, and took them from a small B2C business to a large international company supplying Ford, Mitsubishi and Nissan. Following that I started a transport company serving the Proctor & Gamble, Lush, Mothercare brands across the UK. Seeing the economy evolving, I sold my company in 2008 for a notable profit and moved into IT sales and multimedia computer training, breaking every company sales record by grossing 1.8 million in sales in the first year on my own order book. I then started sales training, consulting and built teams and processes for several large UK companies notably Navman Wireless, Kyani AB and many others.
I am a highly regarded strategic consultant and high-level deal closer in the environmental, renewable energy and commodities markets. My key strength is extensive experience being a serial entrepreneur founding many startups and large scale projects as well as being well versed in the international commodities market.
