Company Overview

Watson & Fine is a UK-based agribusiness, with farms in East Africa, positioned to become a global provider of food and renewable energy crops. In tandem, our sister company Watson and Fine Commodities is a leading global broker for grain, sugar, food produce and minerals.

In these fast changing and unpredictable times, there is a global shortage of energy, fuel and food. Watson & Fine is uniquely placed to help solve these problems. We have commenced by acquiring arable farmland and cashew nut tree forest in East Africa, that we will sustainably farm using best practises.  We plan to process these crops in-country, utilising our existing modern factory, thereby providing jobs and enhancing the local area GDP.

Growing food and harvesting nuts and fruits often leads to waste products such as straw, coconut shells and cashew apples – they are often seen discarded.  We see these as valuable bi-products to produce animal feeds, valuable oils, activated carbons and pellets for fuel and/or energy use.

In the next ten years, Watson & Fine plans to employ thousands of individuals who stand to directly benefit from its integrated agribusiness model, which not only brings them employment, but also education and critical infrastructure such as schools and hospitals to their areas.

We have a zero-tolerance policy towards modern slavery.

We are passionate about improving the livelihoods of the people in the communities we work with. Our aim is to help uplift their lives by providing well paid, full time jobs, with health and education services for their families.   As well as food grown for the local market, the export of processed foods, not just raw produce, will significantly add to the GDP of the region, thereby encouraging economic and community regeneration in a sustainable manner.
